Usually plays supporting characters in Hong Kong movies. His only leading roles to date are _Zhuo niu zi ku de zhong kui (1991)_ (The Blue Jean Monster) and _Jing zhuang qing bu zi jin (1995)_ (Secret Lover).
Has repeatedly appeared in supporting roles (often as villains) in Yun-Fat Chow films including A Better Tomorrow II (1987) (A Better Tomorrow II), Tiger on Beat (1988) (Tiger On Beat), Gong zi duo qing (1988), (The Greatest Lover) and _Dip hyut shueng hung (1989)_ (The Killer).
Unusually tall by Chinese standards. Was perhaps the most intimidating villain of the eighties because of his height.
