Overview
Love in Sampan is the tale of an unfortunate young woman named Kiu. As she explains in the opening narration, she has known three men: Wah (a boy who worked in her family's shop), Chuen Wang (a local gang boss whom she is compelled to marry) and Man (a university student). But when she accidentally witnesses her best friend, Kim, fooling around with a man, Kiu's sexual curiosity is truly aroused ... and begins to grow.

Description: This grim Cat III follows the god-awful life of Kiu (Asuka Tamami), a young woman living in a conservative village. In order for her family to continue paying for her brother’s education, Kiu is forced to marry a local “bad guy”, Wong (Leung Siu-Dik). She cheats on Wong on her wedding night with a handsome young guy (Daniel Chung Sai-Kuen), who is subsequently drowned by Wong and his cronies. Things only get worse after that.
